Welcome to Elite-Wings
The very first elite-wings event in 2001 was arranged by Ian and was a weekend away to Sunderland - Just four people on two bikes, a red one and a yellow one. The hotel was the then Swallow Hotel at Seaburn and the ride out was up the coast to Newcastle.
Since then the elite-wings group has grown to nearly 100bikes and we've had events to lots of places including - Lands End & John O'Groats, three 1 week Scottish tours based at Bo'Ness, FortWilliam and Creiff, three long weekend events around Yorkshire based at Doncaster, Rotherham & Bradford, lots of weekends away to Llandudno, Bath, Peterborough, Whitby, Preston, Ilfracombe, Brighton, Thanet, Coventry, Forest of Dean, Durham, Rugby etc. We've had a 7 day tour to France and several 2 weeks European tours to - Sorento Italy, Cadiz Spain, Verona Italy, Prague Czech Republic, Monte Carlo Monaco, Oporto Portugal, Black Forest Germany, and we've been to Daytona Bike Week in Florida for the past 7 years.
The main thing about all our tours is that they are based on using Hotel accommodations and DO NOT involve anything to do with camping, beer tents, or mobile fast food 'caterers'.
June 2007 - Coventry Murder Mystery
The body of the head Technician of Sharman had been found dead in the Hotel grounds and there had been a "Murderrrrrrr".
A detective explained he would be questioning suspects and leaving evidence for us to decide who had carried out the awful deed... read more!
28th April to 1st May 2006 - Senior moments in the Forest Dean
Once again Elite wings were tempted to try a weekend away, after the long cold winter it was a welcome change.
Paul, Angela, David, Megan, Dennis and Christine, took the scenic route, from Burton-on-Trent down through the Cotswolds to the Holiday Inn at Gloucester, while other folks were busy working.
